Hi,

I am preparing to build a gaming PC and I want to use the Phanteks Enthoo Pro. I am curious if anyone can answer a question about fan placement. Does anyone know if you can place a 120mm fan on the bottom in the front? I want to put an intake on the case floor in the front, but I also want it to be behind the vertical HDD shroud. Is there enough room for one there? If so, that brings up another question. I don't need to use both HDD racks, so can the top rack hang suspended, or does it have to sit on top of the bottom HDD rack?

Solution
I believe it can use just the top drive cage. The drive cages have a sort of dovetail plastic ridge on the top and the underside of the solid panel between 5.25" drive bays and hdd bays has a track for it to slide into along with a couple of thumbscrews that connect the two. Seems like it should support the drives with the lower hdd cage removed.

The bottom fan mounts accept either 2 120mm or 1 140mm fan so there should be fitment for a 120mm fan on the bottom closer to the front. It's also dust filtered like the front fans, top and separate psu dust filter on the bottom. It's a pretty configurable case to suit just about any layout.

Here's a copy of the case owner's manual that may help answer questions...

I took out one of the hdd cages from my enthoo pro but I opted to remove the middle one since my graphics card lines up with the upper cage for more airflow there. If yours is like mine was you'll need a screw driver (phillips) to loosen them even though they're knurled thumbscrews. Mine were in really tight. I think you'll like the case, it was a lot more enjoyable building in than others I've used.
