hi peeps, new here, so no noobing lol.

ive slowly been doing my Zalman Z11 plus case up bit by bit.

so far i have an Intel i5, 800w PSU, R9 200 Hax GFX card, few ssds bla blah

now my main questions is this.

tomorrow im off out to buy a CORSAIR Hydro H80i GT 120 mm

it might not fit in my zalman z11 properly, i may have to have a fan outside the case on the back or just use a one fan config,

but do i have this fan blowing blowing out of the case, or into the case?

above my cpu i have 2 extra 120mm fans as exhaust fans, i also have a fan at the bottom being used as an exhaust fan, and i have a fan connected to my main system PIN header on the front of the case blowing air into the case.

i have attached a picture showing roughly what im dealing with and would like any advice possible with any different fan combos

i.e leave the two top fans blowing air out or turn em so they blow in?
im new to this corsair water cooling and really looking forward to playing with it.

i hear the term push pull etc ive read into it and kind of understand it, but is it best to have both my fans on my rad exhausting air from my case or into my case and using the two top 120mm as exhaust.

sorry for long post.

Push - Pull means that cool air should be blown into the case and hot air removed at other locations. This pulls the cool air across the components that need to be cooled. If all of your fans are exhaust fans, air simply leaks into the case and you don't get a well-defined airflow pattern.

Top fans are almost always exhaust, since heat rises. Not just fans on the top panel, but those near the top of the back panel. I suspect that you need some inflow fans at the front. You have one near the bottom; I would suggest another higher up in front of your HDD cage if the case supports that.

Liquid cooling radiator fans should always blow out. Why blow hot air into the case? You might have to replace that top-back fan with the...

Thanks for your reply. So what your saying is i should have both fans blowing air out of the back of the case? One in front of the rad blowing out and the one in front of the rad blowing out?

Unfortunately i only have one fan space on the front of the case to blow air into the case , but that fan next to my cpu could i maybe turn that around and have that blow air into my case?

Or them two fans i have on top of my case that i use for exausts, maybe have the one furthest away near the rear as an exaust and the one next to it turn it round to blow air into the case?

Ok. Sorry for sounding stupid. Im on tramadol from a bike accident lol.

Best options are to twist fan at bottom to bring air into system, and when i install the corsair cooler make sure both fans blow air out the back of the machine correct?
