hi , i want asking if i running fan PWM in 50% , so i can save more power than running in 100% , right ?

if my mainboard can supply total 1,0 Amper , my fan PWM need 0.2 , so i can run 5 fan with 100% rpm work or 10 fan with 50% rpm work , right ?

Solution
No, irregardless of what % its run at the power draw of a pwm fan is the same as it would be at 100%.

Pwm works by switching on and switching off rapidly so yes it uses half the power over a set period of time at 50% than it does at 100% but doesn't mean you can double up fans if its run at half speed.

Personally I wouldn't run more than 3 fans from a single header even if they're rated at 0. 2a
