Hi.

Quick question, I did everything to try to by the right kit.

But after installing the lowest profile ram I could get. DDR5 Ripjaws S5 2 sticks. (in the correct slots.)
In a case I was sure would be large enough. Lian-Li Boitier O11D XL ROG.
When I put the cooler in Noctua NH-D15.
Mother board is ASUS ROG Strix Z790-E
The front fan rests on the RAM, when the glass side panel is put on.

I don't think its forcing the ram, but you cant get a piece of paper between them, so its touching it.

Will this affect the ram.
I Googled it and saw mixed replies from others who had the same issue with their rigs.
Some said its fine, others that the vibration (of the fan) could affect the RAM.

Any help really appreciated.

Should be no problem but you can replace it with a 120mm fan if you wish for more clearance.

This is probably not the best video but it does work.

Thank you Zerk2012

I have a 120mm fan I was going to attach to the rear of the case.
But I could use it for the cooler, and use the 140 for the top in place of the rear vent.
I would rather not do this.

I wondered if anyone had experienced issues.
But as you say it the fan rotating wouldn't affect the ram.
This would be preferable.

I really appreciate the help.
And the video.

Thank you.

should be fine that particular cooler was always gonna be a pig with any ram you install the heatspreader on the ram should absorb any vibration of the fan so it wont damage the ram
