Hey guys,

Building a new PC for the first time and have a question about the fan setup.

Going to build in a Montech King 95 case and I'm wondering what the optimal setup with it would be with 6 120mm fans.

You can possibly have 3 up top, 2 on the side chamber, 1 in the back, and 3 on the bottom.

I was thinking about putting 2 fans in the side chamber as intake, 1 on the bottom as intake, 2 on the top and 1 on the year as exhaust.

Would this be an acceptable setup?

Building with the microcenter 7800x3d, gigabyte motherboard bundle in case the motherboard and processor make a difference for recommendations. I don't have a GPU yet, but have everything else and am planning on getting it up and running next weekend.

I've built in this case a few times with AIO's in the top and follow the link provide above for all the other fans. As a general rule I set up PC's with air intake on the bottom, front or side and exhaust out the back and top. For the money I buy my King 95's with fans because you can't beat the price and throw an 360 AIO in the top (or 2-3 exhaust fans in the top and you are done. I do not personally use the optional mesh front yet on any of my builds, but you may look at youtube to see if anyone has side & front 140 fans.

If you have not bought your case yet and you are not particular about rgb fans, I would buy the case with the fans and save some money for other components. The case has preset rgb modes and colors included, If you want full rgb control from the mobo, I do not have any opinions on that.
