So I have standard 3pin fans 12v fans and controll speed trough mobo. Is it safe to run it on 6v because the temps are still good. cpu around 50-55 celsius and every thing is okay but my question is it safe to change it if its original 12v fan? The fans are fractal design silent series white 120mm 2x in front and rear silentiumpc zephyr 120mm blue led. The fractal runs 700-800rpm and pretty much the same for that silentium fan. Can you tell me how many voltage do you use for your fans to be good quiet/performance ratio? Thx for your help.

So, there should be no reason to "set" the voltage for the fans. In the bios set the fan headers you are using to DC mode and then enable Smart fan control. You can set the thermal points where you want the fans to change speeds at and customize that curve to your own preferences. This is done by thermal trigger points, such as at 40 degrees it will run at 40%, at 65 degrees it will run at 100%, etc. It should not be a question of setting voltage. That will be controlled by the motherboard.
