fan speeds exceeding 300% on speedfan

Earlier today I inadvertently dialed my fan speed percentage up to 350% for a bit before taking notice. I guess my question is this; is it possible for a fan to reach such speeds or is it capped at 100% regardless of the percentage displayed? Just wanted to make sure the life expectancy of my cards fan hasn't plummeted.

its impossible to make a fan speed greater then 100% . Greater then 100% implies giving the fan more then 12v, which is physically NOT possible on the motherboard. 12V is the highest voltage present inside any part of your PC.
