hello gamers,
Here in my country this high end card is not that available..........msi will be available in the next week & gigabyte due to next month........i have heard regarding the fan issues of MSI [one spinning while one not spinning, fan not moving until 55' cel.] and TEMP issues [in some article i have find that MSI has 85' cel+ idle temp stays at 40-45' cel.][strike][/strike]......................so i just want to know is both the issues are overcome by MSI in recent days or i should wait for the gigabyte version, which is $70 more than MSI in my country........
<<<<<<<<<<<<< I will appreciate reply from current MSI 970 gpu holder>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

I never look at idle, because it's the load that is usually more important to me, but my load temps, at 1500mhz boost clock are around 70 degrees (for an ambient of around 25C) for the normal Gaming 4G and 65 for the Golden Edition, I don't think I ever saw my idle going over 40, but again, I don't pay attention to that figure. But it's definitely nowhere near 50's.

Go whichever of MSI or Giga is cheaper, but be ware that the Gigabyte card is longer (312mm by the specs) while MSI is a good 3cm shorter (279mm iirc).

If you value backplate, Normal MSI gaming 4g doesn't have it, both Gigabyte G1 Gaming and MSI Gaming 4G Golden edition do.
I own two MSI 970 myself, the 'problems' you have described are not actually problems, they are designed as intended. Both fans are controlled independently, and the fans are designed to not spin until a certain temperature threshold is reached to elongate the life of the fans by not using them until needed.

Not sure about the high temp problems, but my cards, even OC'ed, never reached higher than 70 (the gold edition was several degrees lower still), though some who had this problem may elaborate better on this than me.

The fan profile can be changed if you desire it.

If you mean the sticker problem with the MSI 970's, it's largely solved now, the sticker no longer stick to the centre of the fan, just touches some of the fan blades.

what is your gpu temp at idle!!! heard that it stays at 45-50' cel...that's insane man......BTW are u recon me to buy MSI over GB.......worth it!?
