Question Fan up or down?

Hello, I have a noob question I’m trying to learn as much as possible about computers. Anyway, should I have my PSU fan drawing from inside my case or outside my case (facing up or down). It will be sitting on a table from the ground not on carpet.

that depens on if u want your PSU gettin cold air from outside or hot air from inside
more heat = louder psu fan
too much heat = psu shuting down

the screws are usually set in a way that you can only have it with the fan facing down .

if you have a case with good ventilation , and one of silent mode or fanless PSU , it might be better for the psu to face up as to allow more for natural ventilation and less trapped hot air inside

but if your psu is going to use the fan then its better to face down , assuming you have a filter on the bottom of your case

Honestly probably will put it down hopefully my case is filtered I’ll look that up. Thanks to everyone who helped!
