[SOLVED] Fanless GPU to play today's games?

Hi, I keep reading old articles on how fanless GPU's aren't meant for gaming. But those were from years ago.
Has there been any changes on this topic?

I'd like a fanless GPU because I currently have a silent PC rig and would like to dive into some modern gaming from time to time.

Must have multi-display(Which I take to mean it can power at least 2 displays at the same time?)

IF you can find this thing you can run up to a 1070TI or RX 580 passively.

And then there are these guys.

But with the right case, padding, fan profiles, coolers and physical location you can make even high-end GPUs nearly dead silent.

On a side note, are there any alternatives that sell as a complete set?

I searched on newegg and there's a whole bunch of them:
"fanless gpu"

Would the ones around $100 be good or no?

The best you will find on Newegg is a 1030GT, all of those are more for a business end PC and good for some pretty light gaming. These are a step up but more expensive.

You also have this for up to a 1060 6GB and RX 560 which you can find both used for under $100.

Who said it shortens GPU life? Passive cooling can be effective up to a certain point.

Why anyone would want to go fanless and shorten GPU life makes no sense.

As long as it stays within safe temps there's no risk of ruining the GPU or lowering the lifespan.

Bought my dad a EVGA GT 1030 fanless for 900P gaming (WoWs, light FPS gaming) and the card stays under 65C while gaming.

$900 for the modified case is a bit much but you can't argue with the results.
