Water cooling rig build 4 pin pwm fans not spinning tried two new power supply's connected directly to power supply no luck tried to run a lamptron fc5 did not work very frustrated brand new fans brand new power supply please help dan

PWM fans need to be connected to a PWM (4-pin) fan controller on the motherboard if present or bought separately.

Then use fan control software if available (i.e motherboard support site, with or without BIOS settings for fan control).

The PSU simply provides a constant voltage of 12Volts using the MOLEX 4-pin connectors. That's for 3-pin voltage-controlled fans.

The PSU won't allow the fans to spin, they'll just run at max speed (control is 5V to 12V I believe from motherboard 3-pin).
