I'm playing around with a DIY PC case build and I enjoy Acrylic front panels with RGB fans such as this one which appears to have some vent-slits on the sides, or this one which I imagine have similar venting methods just on the bottom and top portion of the front panel.
My question is, since the immediate front of these fans are usually being blocked (or at least have very small clearance between)
by the acrylic panels, how effective is the airflow bringing in through the sides of the fans? Or are they typically the exhaust fans? I can't find a lot of information
regarding the airflow and aerodynamics of these front panel fans that use acrylic as a cover. If anyone owns a case like this, It would maybe even help seeing pictures of this front panel taken off
(Since I can't seem to find these references anywhere either)
