I just installed a Swiftech 8 way splitter and my fans are now running at full speed. I tried connecting the hub to every fan header in my mobo and nothing changes, my pump is connected to the CPU fan header on the header. Before I installed these 2 extra fans on my front rad for push/pull I had my fans connected to all of my 5 fan headers in my mobo with 2 Y splitters and everything worked fine and all was controllable but now it's locked at 100% anyone know how to fix this?

Specs:
MSI Z170a Gaming M7
7 Corsair SP120 PWM fans for radiators
1 Corsair AF140 PWM fan for the exhaust
EKWB Dual bay PWM res/pump combo

Solution
You'll likely now have to use independent software (hopefully from Swiftech) to control the speeds of the fan.
It should be mentioned in documentation that came with the splitter....?

Reading reviews on Amazon there, it sounds like they're controllable for one or two fans, but then it gets overloaded & everything ramps up to full speed.

If there's no independent software to control it, you're looking at full speed or nothing, unfortunately.

Always important to read reviews..
