I sent my PSU for RMA thinking it was a voltage issue. Turns out it's not.
Heres what happens:
CPU: i5-8400
MOBO: B360M-K
GPU: Zotac 1060-6GB
RAM: 8GB X 2
PSU: RM550x
A couple of important observations:
During the last 3-4 successful boots (before RMA), i was having the same mentioned issue but unplugging the keyboard and mouse would sometimes "fix" the problem. Then on the last 2 boots, after i hit power button, the fans would spin immediately but the pc would boot after several secs /mins.
The pc never turned off while running.
On the next boot it would just not boot and i suspected it was a power issue and sent PSU to RMA (It was the only item in warranty)
Heres what happens:
- PSU has power and mobo has light.
- I short the power pins on mobo to turn the pc on. I have disconnected every extra stuff.
- GPU fans, CPU fans, chassis fan connected to mobo, chassis fans connected to psu, psu fan- all of them turns on.
- No video output, no light on keyboard and mouse (it used to light up as soon as i hit power button).
