Fans are trying to spin but don't

I just built a pc and every time I flick the power on and press the power button the cpu fan and fan in the psu try to spin but die after like 1/100 of a second, any idea why? The psu is a 500 bronze that passes the paper clip test by itself (nothing except paper clip on the ends of the wires) but whenever I hook it to anything it stops

Specs:
Ah-68 mobo
Amd Athlon 860k cpu
Psu is a bronze 500
Gtx 960 ssc
Single 8gb ram stick Kingston hyper fury
