Purpose: A low-budget gaming PC. Most games will be played at 1366x768 resolution, medium graphic settings are fine.
Specs of the PC I am planning to build:
CPU: Athlon II X3 445 (3.1 GHZ)
GPU: Radeon HD 6750 1 GB GDDR5 Powercolor http://www.powercolor.com/us/products_features.asp?id=348
RAM: 4 GB DDR3-1333 Kingston
Motherboard: MSI 760GM-P33 (AMD 760G and SB710 Chipset) http://www.msi.com/product/mb/760GM-P33.html (two DDR3 RAM slots)
PSU: Antec VP-450 (450 watts) http://store.antec.com/Product/power_supply-basiq_power/vp450/0-761345-23540-2.aspx
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371045
HD: 500 GB 7200 RPM Western Digital Blue
Case: Gigabyte GZ-F6: http://www.villman.com/Product-Detail/Gigabyte_GZF6HAG
Budget is limited to around the prices of the items I mentioned. I do not live in North America or Europe, and will be buying these items in a local computer store.
My concerns are:
1.) Will this setup be prone to overheating? Should I get more fans and/or a better case? If the case needs more fans, what kind of fans would you recommend? If I need a better case, what would you recommend and why is it better? According to the specs, the case I chose has a 1 pc. Rear 80mm silent fan. It doesn't have extra fan holes in the front or top, and only one on the side.
I'm willing to spend an additional ~25 USD (almost double the price of the ~23.5 USD case I mentioned) if needed for a better case and/or extra fans.
2.) Does the MSI 760GM-P33 support dual channel? Should I get two 2 GB RAM sticks or just one 4 GB RAM stick (they're almost of the same price)? The motherboard has only two DDR3 RAM slots, but on the other hand, 4 GB is just fine for me.
3.) There is a chance that the motherboard that I'm planning to buy (the MSI 760GM-P33) will not be available in store I'm gonna be buying it from in the next few weeks, when I am planning to buy the parts. Other motherboards available that are around the same price are the:
Gigabyte M68MT-S2P (NVIDIA GeForce 7025 / nForce 630a chipset) http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3726#ov
AND
ASUS M4N68T-M (NVIDIA GeForce 7025 / nForce 630a chipset) http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/AMD_AM3/M4N68TM/
The 3 candidate motherboards have roughly the same feature-set, except that the Gigabyte and ASUS mobos both have Nvidia chipsets. My concern is will these chipsets play nice with the AMD Radeon HD 6750? If yes, which would you recommend, the Gigabyte or the ASUS? Also, both of these boards support dual-channel, right?
Any answers to any of my above questions would be appreciated. Thanks!
