I have a couple of fans laying around doing nothing (same brand and max RPM), and I have room in my case to essentially run them in push/pull without a radiator in between them or anything. If I were to mount these fans stacked together, would this just create turbulence or is it just a stupid idea?
Not trolling. I can actually do this and have the room. Not sure if it would be just a waste of space or if it actually does something.

Alright here are my results:

Corsair SP120 fans on an H80i GT, ambient room temp of 20 degrees C
15 minutes of Prime 95 i7-6700k 1.38V 4.6GHz OC (lost the silicon lottery 🙁 )
2 fans in push pull: 75 degrees C
3 fans (2 in push 1 in pull): 78 degrees C
3 fans (1 in push 2 in pull): 77 degrees C
4 fans (2 in push 2 in pull): 74 degrees C

All in all, stick with 2 fans.

kind of what i thought i remembered

but thanks for posting your results it helped refresh my memory for next time some one asks
