Its an i5 processor, asus motherboard, geforce gtx 770, i dont know what else. Its an old build and now it wont turn on sometimes when i press the power button

If only "sometimes", then it might be a power button issue. Try testing this by shorting the 2 pins on the board corresponding to the case power button.

Could be your power switch? Just replaced one of those for a client yesterday. Could be a dead power supply too. Unplug everything and short the power supply with a paper clip so that it turns on. Its on the 24 pin. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ea1dcJ0QyAE. If the power supply works, move on to reseating everything, cables, ram, gpu, etc.
