Fans plugged in GPU

I have a Strix 1060 and i've been told that i can plug my fans to my GPU. But my fans are 3 pin and on my GPU its 4 pin. Does it make a big different if its 3 or 4 pin?

What fans exactly do you wanna plug into your GPU? Only fans that should be connected to GPU is the fans mounted on the GPU.

I have 2 fans in the front of my case, a friend told that i can plug them in my GPU to sync them with the fans in my GPU

No, plug them into the motherboard. Case fans shouldn't be synced with GPU but either be controlled by motherboard temp or just run at full speed all the time if the fans are not noisy.
