Hello all,

Below is my different fan speeds and temperatures:
Fan 11160 RPM
Fan 2 1753 RPM
Fan 34110 RPM
GPU48C
Temp 168C
Temp 247C
Core 067C
Core 168C

What would you recommend to do to reduce the overall temperature and fan speed?
I am fairly new to computer's etc so let me know if you require any other information

Cheers!

You'd have a hard time with that. Dell is one of the single most proprietary pc's there is, so there's always issues with changing stuff. They work great for what they are, but upgrades aren't easy unless that's the sort of challenge that you enjoy.

The temps aren't bad, the fans are a little high, but that's to be expected with that case. So all in all, it's a pretty good deal for a freebie, but it is 7 year old tech, so won't be producing any miricles. It'll handle most esports and easier online games like fortnite and CSGO and will do ok with skyrim/fallout with a few mods, but it's an i5 and a gtx660, so while games will be playable, there won't be record fps.

4000rpm is about right for 2 things. El-cheapo stock intel/old amd cooler or the pump on a 120mm AIO.

1200/1800rpm is quite within normal ranges of most fans, they'll average 1300 to 1500rpm or 2000-2800 rpm, so that's be about right, depending on the fans and bios duty cycle.

Would help to know what stats, what connections, what settings the fans/pump are on.

The Alienware X51 R1? Huh, you got shortchanged, that usually comes with an i7-3770 on a H-61 mobo, not the i5-3450.

If that's the right version (barring cpu) then it should be a slimline, sfx small form factor case, basically a htpc on its end. With case airflow restrictions, zero room for upgrading larger capacity etc, you are pretty much stuck with the temps you have. Your only option would be to do some digging, clean out everything as best as possible, maybe replace any of the case fans with some Noctua high sp fans and try and force some air through that case.
