At the moment I have the following fans:

2x Cryorig xf140
2x Noctua nf-a14 industrial 3000pwm
3x Fractal Venturi hp14 pwm
2x Fractal GP14

My current setup:
Front intake 3x Fractal Venturi
Rear exhaust 1x Fractal GP
Cryorig R1 2x Cryorig xf140

Intake at max is roughly 240cfm
Exhaust at max is roughly 70cfm

So at the moment it's a (really ) positive airflow

So I just got the Noctua's, from a trade I made. This made me rethink my case setup.

Best I can think of at the moment is just putting a Noctua at the exhaust.

I'm using speedfan. But this is not working for me since I can only arrange the intake and cpu. So the second part of my question is more or less future related.

I'd like a fan controller to control all the fans. I was thinking about an aquaero 5xt. But are there other options?

In the future I want to run a watercooled system with a 420 rad on the top to cool my gpu ('s). I thought about moving my venturi's to the 420 rad(exhaust). Using the noctua's for intake.

I'd like to hear your points of view on this matter.

Thanks in advance!

When you're talking of fans for a path that will eventually see you move to watercooling we'll need to automatically recommend you ditch all those fans(except one) and go for fans that are more geared towards static pressure. This means that your GP14 fans are ruled out of the equation since they have the weakest static pressure of the bunch(when stacked against the Noctua and Venturi).

IMHO, I'd say keep the round of fans equal on both the intake and exhaust. Yes, it's arguable that you should have fans as they are required by a device/component namely having air flow fans for case internal airflow but in hindsight I see you populating the front of your Define S with a radiator as well so instead of inuring multiple purchases, you...

You might want to read through this article by Case-labs and also check out the watercooling sticky(in my sig space) for more info on your migration and prep to watercooling.

Thank you for selecting my post(the only one in that matter) as the Best Answer but did it really answer your question? If so it'd help the community if you could post a follow up and give us disclosure of your system's setups and if the suggestion helped you out 😉
