Hello All,
Hope all is well, not sure if this is the right sub to post but please move if needed. I have a ABS Stalker X ALI012 with a few modifications:
It's been working flawlessly for years and i could be able to play a lot of games out there at Ultra. What happens recently is that sometimes the fan on the processor stops working, and the power button light dims. When that happens, the whole machine slows down, i can feel it on the monitor while playing game or just browsing the website, it's jerky and laggy. At that time, the CPU temperature can spike up to 100F+.
I've tried a few things like switching the fan, plugging the CPU into different outlet where there is no other appliance but the problem still persists. I also tried to open it up and place a big fan right to it, the temperature went down but the problem was still. It's intermittent, sometimes the fans turn off, the CPU heats up and the whole PC slows down. Restarting the machine does not help, i need to leave it there for hours and it will be back to normal.
Not sure if that's the power supply issue since i don't have a spare one to try. Should I go buy a different one or is it another issue with my rig? Thank you.
