Hi so I decided to build a PC and I’m having a tough time right now with a lot of things and I’m not quite sure where things are going wrong. So to start off my build is:

CPU - AMD Ryzen 5 2600
GPU - EVGA GeForce RTX 2060
Motherboard - Gigabyte B450M DS3H
RAM - 2 x 8 GB GeiL Evo Potenza PC4-24000
SSD - PNY XLR8 CS2311 2.5” SATA III
PSU - Seasonic S12III-500

I started this build and when I first built it, it got to BIOS and I was able to install Windows 10. It was perfectly okay for a while. The issue is that when I started it again it would boot up for anywhere from 5 seconds to 2 minutes and randomly turn off. A little irritated, I left it alone and came back to it later, but when I had turned on the power supply and pressed the power button the fans would turn on but nothing else. Normally with the motherboard there would be an aesthetic orange light turn on, but this time there was nothing, neither was there a light in the front of the case showing that the power was on plus I couldn’t turn off the actual computer other than turning off the power supply switch. I had talked to some friends and we figured it might be a motherboard issue so I bought another motherboard (same type) and tried it again. This time when turned on I got lights and fans on, but no display, plus I couldn’t turn the computer off again. I held the power button and tried to turn it off, and it did but turned right back on. I figured at this point it might be good to take out the graphics card because it might be messing with the motherboard and tried to turn off the computer to no luck. I switched the power supply switch off and took out the graphics card and turned on the computer again, no lights, but fans are turning. I try to look something up and I’m not sure how long it took but the lights turned on again and the keyboard lit up, no display. I wanted to put in the graphics card and put the HDMI cable into the GPU but again, the computer wouldn’t turn off when pressing the power button. Turned off computer with power supply and now it won’t give any lights at all. I’m really really confused, so any advice would be much appreciated. Sorry for such a long post.

Hi guys, I have a similar problem.

I built this PC sometime ago. It worked perfectly for some time but currently when I turn power on CPU cooling fan, and both the Case fans are running fine, however:
 • Nothing coming on display, and
 • No power in Keyboard or Mouse
Here are the things I have tried:
 1. Reset CMOS by taking battery out
 2. Checked motherboard thoroughly, using a bright white light for any physical defects or blown capacitors. None found whatsoever.
 3. Took CPU out and thoroughly checked for bent / damaged pins (nothing found).
 4. Tried HDMI display as well as VGA display.
 5. Tried to power Keyboard and Mouse from USB 3.0 slots in front of the case rather than back from Mobo.
 6. Tried all 4 RAM slots individually, and by swapping RAM's in each.
Configuration:
Motherboard:
MSI B350 PC Mate
Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 1600 Desktop CPU - AM4/Hex Core/GHz/16MB/65W
Power: EVGA SuperNOVA 550 G2 550W 80+ Gold Power
Graphics: Gigabyte Radeon RX Vega 56 (8GB) Graphics Card
RAM: Team Group Dark T-Force 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 PC4-24000C16 3000Mhz Dual Channel Kit - Grey
Case: Master Cooler (White)

Please can you recommend what can I do?

Thanks in advance,

Sam
