Fans spin no video

Hello, this is my first build and I cannot find the problem here. All the fans spin and a white led on the gpu and orange led on the mouthedbourd (cosmetic) I have unplugged and replugged the gpu and the cpu’s power sockets just to be safe. I also have tried turning on with no ram but there was no beeps and the motherboards light went off. But still no video.

I have a bronze 500watt Evga
The z370p d3 mother bourd
The core i5 9600k?(can’t remember the hundred place)
Asus GeForce gtx 1060
Patriot viper memory 16gbs one stick

Your CPU isn't supported on your motherboard without a bios update


You'll need to either swap for a z390 board
Buy an 8th gen Celeron to update the BIOS
Or take your board to a shop and have them updated for you

Oh wow,
I made sure that it was compatible when I purchased it but I guess I missed that I needed to update the motherboards bios to update to make it work. Not questioning you but are you saying if I take it to a shop and update it it should work as long as the parts are in perfect condition?

Yep, the board existed before the cpu so it doesn't know how to run it until the bios is updated. That's why z390 was created
