Hi there,

I'm currently in the process of upgrading my Graphics Card from a HD 6670 to a HD 7870.

My HD 6670 works fine with a display every time I put it in but when I switched over to my HD 7870 I could hear the fans but I wasn't getting a display, not even when I was connected to my motherboards video display. The motherboards video display will work with and without the HD 6670 but it won't with the HD 7870 so I can't install the correct drivers for my new card.

To what I know, I have uninstalled the drivers of my old card so I can't see the problem being that. I have also upgrading my PSU to a Corsair CX750 so I know I have enough power to power it.

My motherboard is: http://uk.msi.com/product/mb/H61M-P31-W8.html

Can anyone help me out?

Solution
Have u checked your 7870 in some other pc?
Wait wait, did u say that it works with the hd6670 but not with the 7870?then its definitely the gpu. Get it for RMA.

Sorry to come back to this, but what are the chances of the exchanged Graphics Card being DOA as well?

I'm having the exact same problem again.
