But then I realized that they’re not compatible with a motherboard.

Are there any alternatives for around 40-50 euros / dollars?

The nicest would be if it also had an application with it

Why aren't they compatible with a motherboard? Is yours 5V RGB or something?

Kind of on your own if you don't provide what you want these fans to work with.

RGB is still a mess with several competing standards. If you want full independence buy a kit that comes with a fan controller.
