I was running FC2 well for over a month. Last night after I played FC2 a bit, I went on the net and started the game again. It tried to update which I canceled promptly but since then the game has graphics glitches. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling but it remains full of glitches. I was using a NO-DVD exe. Strangely, Crysis also has graphics glitches since Far Cry 2 went FUBAR.

All my other games are still working (GTA4, COD4+WaW etc).

Somehow I think its Securom messing around. Or maybe Directx 9.

All my games are originals. Graphics drivers up to date. DX up to date (gonna try November 08 reinstall).

Anyone know something about this?

Well, nevermind that really, but I'm wondering if it's possible to bypass this with YASU? Only thing is, I'm having trouble with running the YASU exe even thou I extracted to Daemon dir. I've Vista64...

Well, got Y.A.S.U. installed properly, and tried cloaking, but still getting that securom grfx glitch... I'll post if I find a way to go around the securom dillweed. I'm not gonna remove whole securom, just too much hassle... I don't need to use cracked exe's when it comes down to it, plus I'm sure there are versions out of most games where the crack is proper.

Just have to say, I hate all kinds of piracy anti-measures; they usually work against buying customers, and the pirates get over them in the end anyway.

If you loose you cd-key, like I did with GTA4, you're forced to use a crack... Which sucks. I even mailed Rockstar about my dilemma (They say the key should be on the back cover of the manual; well, at least with my digipack version it most certainly ain't there), but they haven't even bothered me with an answer... Thanks Rockstar. I have bought all the GTA's so far, first on PS now most recent one on pc... Guess how much I'll be doing that in the future?

This whole anti-piracy farce has gone over the top, really. Spun out of control, biting it's own neck... Literally forcing people to use cracked exe's. For crying out loud.

I know more than a few people who are so disillusioned by these measures that they have stopped buying games alltogether. Nice job, publishers....
