far cry 3 0xc00007b error

Opening farcry 3 shows ' the application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b).click OK to close the application.
I have searched everywhere and found nothing. ... looking for a real solution plz.
I'm running windows 8.
I've played farcry 3on windows 8 before... had to reinstall windows... i don't know what I'm missing this time.
