Hello guys if you could help me solve my issue I would be very grateful.

So the issue is I bought Farcry 3 today, downloaded it and installed it, all was going well. I started up the game the frame rate is fine my computer can handle it fine, but whenever I use my mouse to look for E.G left or right it starts to stutter/lag. Now the mouse I'm using is a razer naga and I have no idea how to solve this issue, because it's impossible to play the game and just ruins the experience.

I will leave you with my specs if that will help with anything:

Graphics card - AMD radeon HD 6770
Processor - AMD athlon(tm) II X4 620
RAM - 4GB
Monitor - 1360 x 768/ 720p
Mouse - Razer Naga

Cheers guys,
Toonzqt

Solution
The OP's issue is NOT frame rate, he clearly states it. Mouse lag is known issue in Far Cry 3 on PC (and I believe Far Cry 2 as well, but I didn't see that myself) due to poor porting from consoles, I read that has to do with developers bypassing directx for input, but that's out of my technical league. Other users with high end systems have reported the same issue, it's not his specs.

Sorry OP, can't help you. I'm experiencing the same issue myself and it's utterly annoying, and I haven't found any solution yet than to just learn to deal with it. Developers porting games from consoles to PC serving us a cold plate again.

Tried everything you said, still the same lag/choppiness when I move the mouse.

Hm I turned it off in game and on the AMD CC, still appears to be lagging when I move the mouse only?

I meant AMD HD 7770 if that makes anything better, anyway, have you got any ways on how to help or?

Solution
I am having this same issue. My PC can handle this easily
i5 3570K
Asus GTX 680 TOP
Corsair Vengeance 8gb
Asus P8Z77V- LK
Corsair HX 750

I can get 60 FPS all day but when I move my mouse the frames drop. I can look around slowly but if I make quick movements the frames plummet. Any help/solution is appreciated!

Thanks for the help anyway man :)

Hello again,

Sorry about taking a while to update, but I just wanted to let you know that I solved my issue by disabling mouse acceleration in the game options.. I've read in forums that this helps some people (it did help me), but for others does nothing.

You probably already finished the game by now, but it might be of use for someone else in case you have.

Good luck!

I have the exact same offer, my FPS are good, but sometimes when i move mouse it gets stuck of stutters. Sometimes my mouse wont even work at all, like sometimes when i try to look around and move my mouse, the game wont respond and my character just stays in the same position. This gets really annoying in gunfights. Again, its not low fps, its just that the mouse wont respond sometimes. I notice that it usually happens when i play the game for a while, not right away. Maybe its overheating? Any help please. My specs are down below in my signature.

Try HiAlgoBoost or HiAlgoswitch. It should remove your stuttering...

HiAlgo SWITCH v0.1 released. What it does: toggles resolution with a click of a button. Works for DX9 games.

Verified so far (on an AMD Graphics card):

I have the Solution is HERE:

I have the "lag" in full screen
but in windowed or without border runs very good. So play without borders that is the same of full screen but without this lag 😀

Going borderless didn't fix the issue for me but it did help me notice that when I turn to the left (it only happens when i move the mouse left) the borders show up; almost like I've moused out of the window. When it does that, I turn around to the right 360 degrees and then I can turn left normally with no issues. It's almost like it's losing the mouse.

What's odd is that i've put a ton of hours in and got 2/3 of the way through the game before it started doing this.

I dont think the best answer is the best answer at all. Sorry for resurrecting a cryptic post. But the solution is actually quite simple, at least it worked for me on the GTX 760 in SLI.

Solution - Simply disable vsync in game options menu, quit game, open nvidia control panel, and enable vsync. I set it to adaptive personally, for those times it does dip into the 40's. Open up game and Voila - no mouse input lag and no screen tearing.

- I also have triple buffering and threaded optimization enabled.

- Some of the other suggestions are crucial too; like opening gamerprofile.xml and setting mouse smoothness settings to 0, including the iron sights cvar.

Hope this helps someone! I was amazed when it worked so easily

good luck!
