Far Cry 3 stuttering/freezing

When I played Far Cry 3 and had micro stutter, I fixed it by disabling crossfire. Now a friend of mine have the same stutter and lag, but he got Nvidia and no SLI, so does anyone know how to fix it for nvidia?

He can play the game perfectly well but it lags and have all the specs that it take to run it.

set the render ahead limit in game to 2 fps... theres an option which allows you to buffer frames so setting it to 2 but no higher than 3 will likely stop his issue. if he has already adjusted it then its likely it needs bringing back down to 1

rename the farcry3.exe to bioshock2 and put post processing down to low. yes for some reason renaming the exe makes the game run butter smooth. your welcome.

My guess is the solution for him had something to do with the way Catalyst application profiles (or something similar) were treating his graphics card setting when running farcry3.exe?

I have TriFire on 6990 + 6970 and I'm having major stuttering issues on low everything 🙁
