Far Cry 4 low fps

Hi, I'm playing FC4 on 1440x900p monitor and when i'm running fraps , i'm only getting around 45-47fps is it my rig ? I read somewhere here that they are getting 60-70 fps on 1080p.

my setup

mobo: asus p8z77-v lk
Ram: 8gb ripjaws g.skill @1333mhz
CPU: i5 3570 non k 3.4ghz boost 4.1ghz
GPU: msi gtx970 gaming 4g
PSU: corsair VS750w

even if i'm switching to OC mode on gpu still getting the same fps. help ?

The game is known for its performance issues on PC but apparently if you edit the profile.xml file in your My Docs folder, change DisableLoadingMip0="0" to DisableLoadingMip0="1" and change GPUMaxBufferedFrames="0" to GPUMaxBufferedFrames="1"
I haven't tested this myself but it worked for a mate of mine, worth a shot, the system should be running it just fine.

Well you should be getting around 60-70 with that setup. I'm getting like 50fps maxed with i5 at 4.8ghz and 280X.

Try monitoring GPU, CPU usage, temps while gaming....

i'm aware of that, but mine is incredibly abnormal as it is constant on that fps range. I will try that and give an update if it works.

my gpu temps in OC mode is dancing around 50-60c and cpu temps are 40-46c , haven't checked my cpu usage tho.
but when I play FC 3 it's as smooth as a baby's butt reaching 80fps easy

following up this thread, I discovered that the v-sync is what's limiting my fps, after I turned dow the v-sync, i'm now getting 60-75fps on 2xmsaa . everything is smooth now.
