Hi - so I am playing Far Cry 4 and am not getting the performance that I would expect. The framerate dips into the 30's-40's in some areas and doesn't consistently stay above 60fps at max settings. This is at 1080p with a 1080ti graphics card, 32 GB of ram and an i7-5820k processor. I feel like I should be getting better performance than this. Is there something I can do to improve performance at these graphics settings?

Thanks

Try fur on and not simulated

Shadows set to high not ultra.

The rest can leave on ultra.

Simulated fur mainly, looks crap anyway and is performance hog.

Early on, shadows on ultra broke performance, bugged. Not sure if its the case now though but mess around with shadows setting.

What monitor are you using, can it go higher than 1080p? 1080p is fine, just 1440p id turn off antialiasing. Or use smaa if on 1080p.

Or use dsr factor in Nvidia CP to like 1.2x and turn off antialiasing in game.
My performance is fine in most games. Far Cry 3 also gave me less then expected performance. I have a feeling that it may be a far cry/ubisoft thing but maybe there's a setting somewhere that's keeping my performance down (or at least im hoping lol)

It is essential that you have your display set to full screen in the display settings for FC4.
