CPU: AMD FX-8350
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
Motherboard: ASUS M5A99FX PRO R2.0
Memory: Patriot Viper 3 16GB DDR3 1600

Playing on Ultra-Low or Optimal settings nets me about 130FPS, but the game is far from smooth. I've tried playing on other setting as well, but the game is still pretty choppy. I've also tried forcing V-Sync on and off, but I get the same results.

Any suggestions?

I experience this same issue with my system, even if I change graphics settings, so I believe it is the game. If someone else has another solution I'd be interested to know.

Its been a year since I did a clean install, perhaps that will fix it...I'd like to think this game is in the same pile as GTA 4 and Metro 2033 (runs poorly on everything)

I'm tempted to do a fresh install, but I'm in the middle of a few projects right now so I guess I'll see how it runs in a VM.

Shooting out something completely random, but you may think it's not smooth because you have Mouse Acceleration on. I personally hate it and for me, makes the game feel less smooth and less responsive. I forget what menus its in but probably look in the keyboard and mouse settings. I remember when FC3 first came out a lot of people were complaining about it because it's default is 'on'.

Hopefully this is your problem and it's fixed from here on out.

Have a good day, Clay.
