FarCry Windows 7 32bit

When I install FarCry on my Laptop Intel Core Duo 2.4, 2gig ram, I get the following error during installation:
"Error:- 1603 Fatal Error During Installation
Consult Windows Installer Help(Msi.chm) or MSDN for more informaion"

Can someone please assist with solution

according to Microsoft it could be:

The folder that you are trying to install the Windows Installer package to is encrypted.

The drive that contains the folder that you are trying to install the Windows Installer package to is accessed as a substitute drive.

The SYSTEM account does not have Full Control permissions on the folder that you are trying to install the Windows Installer package to. You notice the error message because the Windows Installer service uses the SYSTEM account to install software.

1) as a rule its not a good idea to install games on a compressed or encrypted folder
2) as long as your not making a folder appear to be a specific drive, this won't pertain to you
3) make sure you have permission to install the game in your destination forlder
