Well worth reading;

I like this bit myself:
"They also released an interesting tidbit of lore. Fertbert recently
looked through the database to see how many accounts had houses, and
only THREE percent were houseless! Apparently, the great "housing
shortage" is well over, as I know of many spots that are still
unclaimed. As Singlarad of LS said, that three percent is likely just
BOD accounts anyways. *snickers* "

So I guess that's it for the next release having house plot lands. Yep,
no more crowded eyesores like Malas or Ice Isle.

I'd like to see any new areas have stricter than old style
housing rules. A house can only be placed a certain distance in
relation to others, varied on the size.

How about a predefined area with roads and town walls. Have rows of
shrubs or something so only houses of certain sizes could be placed in
each plot.

What I'd like is a rule that made houses decay with 1 week if they weren't
built in that time. I sooooo hate seeing plots laid out for weeks,
months, years on end.

Exactly You could have attched apartment type places in the city
like in a medevil city and some separate houses here and there,
planed better so it looked better than what has happened in Luna and
once outside the walls evoke the certain space rule.

If you read the referenced link
(http://uols.net/forum/viewtopic.php?p=84344) , you find the new lands
are in fact planned just that way.

"There will be one city revealed in the SE Expansion, with housing
AROUND but not INSIDE the city. Housing plots were carefully arranged
with bushes and topography to prevent house crowding, so you will not
see the suburbia crush of Malas either near the towns or out in the
more remote regions."
