Because of todays resource hungry 3d games i have decided/forced to upgrade my computer i currently have a 350 CPU and TNT2 ULTRA graphic card but i am still able to play Quake3(1024/768 32bit colour, textures) with reasonable frame rates.but due to my tight budget i can only afford a 750MHz CPU(it has a 100Mhz FSB and i will be using it with my existing BX mother board through a converter) or a Geforce2 MX400 64MB graphic card.Could you please tell me that which one of these will give me more gaming power.

Get the MX400 for now. In a couple of months the prices should drop on the PIII's again when the next array of CPU's come to market.

Blah, Blah Blahh, Blahh, blahh blah blahh, blah blah.

The MX400 sucks : /

Same performance as the old MX, just cosmetic changes really.

How much do those cost? If around 100 or so, you'd be better off getting a GTS for 30 bucks more or getting the Radeon LE for what, 70? That Radeon card is a pretty good deal..

I agree, get the <A HREF="http://www.anandtech.com/showdoc.html?i=1473" target="_new">Radeon LE</A>
The Geforce MX 400 is pants at high res 32 bit colour. Even at 1024x768.

GET THE LE.
