I have noticed, that ever since I've moved from Win98 to win2000, my HD gets fragmented really fast. I guess a part of the problem is that I couldn't figure out how to set a swap file size to a certain number in Win2000. Is there a way to do it, and what else should I check?

I would defrag. hard drive first before setting page size.
Right mouse click on my computer and hit the advanced tab. Click on Performance Options, Virtual memory should be listed, click on Change and set your page file size. I set mine by 2 1/2 times my ram I have in the system.

What is your initial size? and max? I have sent my work pc to initial size 384-384 max so my page size does not grow or shrink in size. It sounds about right, windows will not have page file size smaller than the amount ram you have in your system.
