Hello I have an old PC and not much money, I was wondering can I change my old NVidia 5200 with a newer NVidia 7600(agp) ? My PSU is only 300W so I don't know would it be enough. And also does 7600 need an additional 6-pin power connector, or is AGP slot enough?

Thank you in advance :D

And if I don't change my PSU and still buy a new GPU is there a chance that something will be damaged, or can I simply buy it and look if it works without running any risk? Also is ATI 3650 AGP better than NVidia 7600 AGP?
And is there a chance that it will work even if I don't change the PSU?

A cheap overloaded PSU can basically blow up, taking out components with an electrical surge in the process. I would say it's more likely that you would see instability or graphics anomalies, but the catastrophic failure thing could happen at any point with no warning.

Most cheap 300W PSUs can't really sustain more than 200W continuously.
