Fast Quit CD ROM

I'm looking for a fast, quit cd rom. I've tried too find some tests & benchmark results & haven't gotten to the right place I guess. My old 32x is spinning it's guts out on my 1 gig Tbird.

If you're looking for a quiet drive, the kenwood's are quiet. They have some issues reading anything that's not mastered or gold reflective, but get a quiet spin and high transfer rates. I use the 72x.

Yup, there are sure many good things around about the True 72x drive from Kenwood, but I thought it was discontinued?
