Fast respond!Sleeping Dogs Definitive Edition have low FPS!Not supposed!

Hello everybody,this is my first time in this forum,I wanted to ask why it have 13-15-18 FPS with my Laptop?Here is my spec:Intel i5 520m 2.40GHz,8 GB RAM,Nvidia NVS 5100M with 342.01 Latest driver.I did A BUNCH AND A BUNCH of optimization in my Laptop,like unpack core,put windows destkop to best performance,enable all of my cores in msconfig,etc,etc.Sleeping Dogs original it's ok...but definitive edition is very slow,I even defrag it with smart defrag,even with contig,it didn't help...please don't tell me to update my rigs I don't have money.Need a fast respond,thank.My Sleeping Dogs DE Setting:720p windowed,AA,etc,this think it's in normal,shadow quality,resolution,etc,are in high (I really need it) motion blur in off,ambience occlusion in normal,v-sync- on,frame limiter,no.Well it's like medium setting at all but just the shadow options are in high. (Hate jagged shadow) Plus I did go to game debat and test if sleeping dogs de can run and it said medium,but the fps is LOW!Please help.

Your video card is marginal even for low settings in that game. Lower the game settings to all low and see how it runs then go up till you hit a balance of quality and FPS you can live with.

Btw I test it,all low,getting just 1-2 FPS boost,it ain't normal,it's supposed to be a GREAT port!Want the version of the of my game?

First this a 5200m integrated GPU. I went to the website and added yor specs. I would check your anti aliasing settings. Lower the settings down can increase your FPS. Test the lower settings each change.

I put it to normal,on game,do you mean in nvidia control panel?If yes please tell me what I need to lower.And in Sleeping Dogs original I got good FPS...the problem now it's Sleeping Dogs DE.

And I put world distance on extreme,do I need to lower?

Sorry to spam this? So you knew what you were doing was wrong and did it anyways? DON'T open another thread on this topic or I'll treat you like the spammer you said you are.

You have a laptop with lower end specs. What did you expect to happen? You've done everything on the software side that you probably can. I'd start looking at hardware. Make sure your cooling is good and no virus or whatnot on the machine. But if dropping everything to low only give you another frame or two then there isn't much you can do. I know you said you want it to look pretty but going from what others said about those laptop specs that just isn't going to happen.

Your video card is not good enough to run the game at past low settings. Look up the minimum specs needed for the game.

Sorry to spams but i'm litteraly new to this forum it's normal...but I can run GTA 4 on 38 FPS Avg on benchmark,and that's a badly optimized game so why not sleeping dogs DE?It's supposed to be a great port...at least my graphic card have 1 gb and have directx 10,it's the minimum for Sleeping Dogs setting....

Game debate (site chosen at random just to get requirements btw, I'm not endorsing the site or anything like that.) says you need a 520 or 440 MINIMUM to play that game. Techpowerup lists your 5100m around the same as the 520, but much below the 440. As in a lot below. Considering that you have a laptop card, and a "professional" card and not a Gefore gaming card I'd say that's your problem. Again, dial EVERYTHING down to low. As low as it goes. Resolution as well. Turn everything off and see what you get. If it's acceptable then start turning things back up. Slowly, one at a time.

No integrated GPU will ever best dedicated GPU. It does not mater what brand. This is one reason i do not like gaming laptops. Unless the GPU is upgradable. Few are though unless i am out of sync.

He has a dedicated GPU on a removable XMX slot. But it's a Quadro, not Geforce card.

Ha gotta I have not heard of that slot type but I never had to replace internal parts in my laptops knock on wood. I searched learned something new.

Are you reading the replies? Your system is too slow for that game to run past low. Set everything to low, see how it runs. Really really wanting the game to run better on your system does not matter, it won't. Other games don't matter how they run, it's how THIS game runs that matters, each game has different requirements, runs on different game engines.

Well I mean,with other windows program and with sleeping dogs it stuck to 20% and it doesn't take more ram,after I change some nvidia setting and reinstalling the games,it causig stutter when it ain't supposed,the first time i play the game there was no stutter and now yes.I did a bunch of optimization to my laptop.First I need a fix for the restricted amount of ram usage and the stutter,I will maybe use contig and smart defrag tomorrrow on sleeping dogs and tell you if stutter stop or not.Sorry for my bad English.

No.
Your pixel count is dependant on the resolution that you run your monitor at and what the panel is capable of.
An upgrade of the graphics hardware just allows you to move those pixels around much quicker.
