I have a 60Hz monitor and if I get 70-80fps in a game, should I enable vsync or fast sync in order to avoid tearing??I have read a few articles regarding fast sync and according to some of the posts, fast sync should be used only when fps is twice the refresh rate...I'm a bit confused 'cause fast sync is useful only when your fps exceeds refresh rate so it shouldn't matter by how much the fps exceeds the refresh rate(please correct me if I'm wrong)

Solution
Actually vapour, ALL games support fast sync. You just need to enable it in the Nvidia control panel.

@casual_gamer47, just run V-Sync. Fast Sync only works well when your frame rate is close to double or more than your refresh rate.

My bad of choosing words, GPU is also a factor of supporting fast sync too I believe.

ok,I have a few more questions....should I force triple-buffering on games via d3doverrider(since nvidia control panel have triple buffering option which is applicable only for openGL games) and also is it true that my fps can drop from 60 to 30 incase the fps gets below 60(if yes can I prevent this drop)?
