Fast way to see how much space left on network share

Is there a fast way to see how much space is left on a network share?
I am using all windows OS and file sharing.
The only way I know of is to map the network path, or go to the share host and look at it's hard drive space, both are a pain to do.

You can setup monitoring software on the servers that report to a central location. The way you are doing it is the fastest way outside of reports.

Map the shared folder as a drive - this will show you how much free space is available on the shared folder.
