Faster speeds with new router

I currently have a verizon fios router/modem. I pay for 30mbps download and upload. If i buy for example this router, TP-Link Archer C1200, will my speeds be faster?

Let's go into this deeper:
Currently, you have FiOS service?
And paying for 30/30 speed?
No matter what router you purchase, that is the max you will get talking to the outside world.. Period.

No it will not.
Your router is simply a gateway which allows your connection to work to it's full potential.
your connection will not take full advantage of the router, as it cannot run at say 100Mbps if your connection is only 30.
It is all dependent on your actual connection plan.
