Fastest 2.5hdd for editing

Hey guys, i've bought an OWC mercury elite mini pro 2.5hdd case, and i'm looking to put the best 2.5hdd for use as a scratch disk for premiere pro, fcp etc.

What is the best 2.5hdd for this? It will be running via usb 3 to my new macbook pro retina.

Well i've ended up getting a Seagate Momentus XT 750GB, and i'll let people know how that goes for editing. I dont think the NAND on board will help with video files, but it may help with caches, photos and graphics...

After doing a quick search on the Newegg site I saw there are some 10,000 rpm 2.5" drives available but they were SAS (Serial Attached SCSI) and not SATA. For my external drive I use a case with with a USB 3.0 connection and a 7200 rpm drive. I prefer WD over Seagate for external drives as I have had two large capacity Seagate drives fail within three months.

Overlooked the FCP, will be connecting via firewire 800?
