Fasttrak 376 setup help.

I bought a HP workstation wx8000 from Craigslist running XP sp3. I bought a fasttrak 376 so that I could install my Toshiba 2tb SATA drive. I've downloaded and installed the drivers and tried all configuration options. The drive is seen in the setup utility, but not in my computer. Please help.
Also, there was only 1.5gb ram installed (six 256k chips) when I bought it. I bought two 2gb ram chips, which should add up to 5gb total, (2x2gb+4x256k=5gb) but only 3gbs are recognized. When only the two 2gb chips are installed, 3.37gbs are seen in my computer/properties. Any ideas why and how I can fix it?

#1) A 32 bit OS can only use 3GB max ram, 64 bit uses all ram.
#2) A 2 TB drive is not supported with that motherboard. Maybe HP has a BIOS update that can

Thanks, would an USB enclosure for the harddrive fix the problem or is a BIOS update my only option?

Not sure about the usb.. 2TB is too large but there might be a workaround (100 partitions) haha. Bios update might be available. Look HP & motherboard parent site.
