As the title says my headset isn't working. not like the microphone and stuff is broken its that no computer can detect the headset and Ive tried it with windows 7 and 10.

Its an amazing headset and I really want it to work.

Unfortunately, if the headset is not working on or via any device where other headsets do work, that very much would indicate the Creative headset is somehow broken.

Hopefully they are still under warranty or otherwise returnable.

If not you may have the option to take them apart a bit and maybe find a loose or broken connection. Poke about carefully and see how much internal access is available.

Maybe you know someone who could help you splice on a new plug or otherwise replace the connectiing cable.

Nothing to lose by trying.
The problem needs to be narrowed down to the computer, to the sound card, to the configuration, or to the headset.

Do other headphones work?

What about the sound card you plugged into - is it the selected Playback Device? Remember to check Properties via any other Tabs that may be available. Very easy to forget or overlook some relevant configuration setting.

Try the headset in a non-computer headset port: tv, radio, ipad. Can you hear the sound, the stereo effects, etc...? Likewise for the microphone if you have some other device accepting microphone input that you can test and hear.

Can you hear any clicks or static when the inline control is moved?

Can you hear anything if you gently wiggle the plugs, then along the length of the wires, both ends in and out of inline control, and all the way up to the headset? (Trying to see if a break can be detected.)

Eliminate or reduce the possibilities. Only change one thing at a time.

I currently use a Afterglow wired headset in place of this headset right now. They work perfectly fine, and I have tried earbuds and speakers on this computer, they work fine.

I know about the playback devices and that's the problem the headphones don't even show up in playback devices and the microphone doesn't show up in recording devices. I am thinking this is the problem with them.

I just tried plugging them into my galaxy s5 and heard nothing so it might be the headset itself.

No sound at all from anything, the audio in the headset might be broken because I cannot hear anything at all.
