It is a motherboard that I'm considering to buy for a friends PC (C2D6300+2GB DDR2 Corsair 800 MHz 5-5-5-+single BFG 8800GTS 320)

Is this a good choice? Even though you can buy it from the store, i didn't find any reviews with it...anywhere...can alternatively get the AB9 PRO, but he doesn't have the dough for the quadGT yet....any opinions, sugestions are much appreciated

cheers!

It's brand new (just came into stock over the weekend in the UK) hence the no reviews yet.
I can't think of any reason why it should perform worse than another 650i but if you can wait a day or 2 until there is a reasonable amount of user feedback from early adopters.

yea mate, I just wanted to check ... weird though, "waited" product reviews come out much sooner that the dat the product hits the shelfs. ..

abit isn't doing that at the moment - review stock is being released essentially at the same time (maybe a few days earlier) as retail stock.

well, I already ordered it purely on trust on Abit's MBs are realiable, as always.

Buff keep me posted if you happen to spot some review on it, I will do the same, and link it here...

Cheers!

so, have anyone found a review for this motherboard? and should i choose this one? or Asus P5N-E Nvidia 650i SLi ? thx!

If you need firewire or serial buy the Asus as the abit doesn't have them.

Initial reports would suggest that the abit is the better hardware design but the Asus currently has the better sorted BIOS (it's 3 months older after all).

i don't need firewire/serial.. but i'm not sure if i'll make a good decision if a buy Abit, i mean i want it for overclock..
