I have been struggling with my new build lately. So my new build pc would randomly shut down at idle and while gaming, i can “trigger” the shutdown by running need for speed heat. Everytime it would load the pc shuts off. I replaced my 650W with a 850W psu and still my pc would shutdown. I tested the ram sticks separately and still it would shut down. Then the next thing on the list would be to switch out my 3070 with my old 1060, so i did. Running my pc with the 1060 it would no longer shut off and could play the game. I cycled a lot trough the loading screens ( because it always crashed at loading ) and the pc would run perfect. Then i switched back to my 3070 and as soon as i launched the game the pc immidiatly shuts off again. When switching gpu’s i used ddu and clean installed latest gpu drivers.
I monitored using hwinfo and all temps are stable.

So can i conclude my 3070 is the fault here? Or could it still be another comonent failing?

pc specs:
Ryzen 7 3700x @stock - noctua nh-u12s
Msi ventus 3x 3070
2x 16gb 3200mhz corsair
B550m aurus pro mobo
Corsair rm850x psu

Then it is probably a faulty card. There is one final test to ensure that the 3070 doesn't work. Do you have a friend or another PC that you could swap the 3070 into?
