Faulty Computer Parts

So I recently had an issue with my computer suffering from performance drops, I managed to address that issue as a faulty SATA cable.
I fitted a new SATA cable after reinstalling my OS and my drivers, it has now come to my attention that I might have a faulty MoBo because when I returned to my PC the cursor wouldn't move despite my software detecting the mouse being connected and loading the custom profile, I tried to reconnect the USB and this time it wouldn't even power the LED's, I restarted my PC and everything was fine that was until I left it idle for 10mins, when I returned nothing was working, I am unsure if this is my motherboard being faulty or if maybe something has corrupted due to me installing windows with a faulty SATA cable

You should reinstall windows if you had a faulty sata cable.

You can always instead boot a Linux live cd/usb and run that OS for a little while. If it runs flawlessly then it was just the bad sata cable caused corrupted OS install. If it is still buggy then it is a hardware issue.

Motherboard: Asrock 970 Extreme 3
PSU: CX600M

I will try reinstalling my Windows and I have also realized that when I am watching videos the page will randomly stop responding and the screen will flicker every so often I think this could be because of faulty drivers since I installed both my LAN and GPU drivers using the faulty SATA cable.

Safest bet is to reinstall windows and everything.

1) Try a fresh reinstall of Windows
2) Check PSU
3) If the above two fail, time to get a new mobo

Also, it would help a lot if you could give us the specs of your PC
