Hi all.

Two of my laptop's USB ports stopped to work properly.
They work fine if I connect a USB device when the system boots,I can even install an OS via that ports, but if I connect the USB when the computer works I get the following message: USB Device not recognized.
The last USB you connected to this computer malfuctioned and Windows do not recognize it.

And in Device Manager stays : Uknown USB Device ( Device Descriptor Request Failed)

I also get this message repetitively ,and when I have not connected an USB to that ports.

Please help me.

Thanks to all in advance

What is your Windows, 7, 8 or 10? Also, what are your pc specs? Did you recently reinstall Windows?

Thank you for replying.

My Windows is 10.
The specs of the Acer Aspire 1 A114-31 :

Celeron N3350 CPU , Intel HD Graphics 500 GPU , 2 GB DDR3 L RAM, 32 GB eMMC.
The problems with the ports started 2 days after I installed Linux,I didn't know how to safely remove a USB.

I'm having the same issue as you except my usb storage devices have probably been damaged when my last pc's motherboard was fried. I'm going to get a new usb storage device and see if it works.
